Nevada Gaming Commission approved rule changes last year that made way for cashless wagering in casinos. New Resorts World Las Vegas casino will introduce GamingPlay, a cash-less betting system.

Resorts World Las Vegas is set for a June 24 soft opening. It will give players the ability to deposit money onto a digital wallet which they can use to place bets on table games or slot machines.

GamingPlay will provide players with three ways to present their loyalty cards when playing at Resorts World. The goal is to give patrons an option for gambling that doesn't require them to constantly be touching chips, cash or personal cards.

Resorts World introduced a new cashless gambling system in Las Vegas. Last year, a handful of casinos including The Strat introduced PlayOn machines. Play on allows players to purchase chips and credits whereas Resorts' new system is an all-inclusive solution.

The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we live our everyday lives. Face masks are mandatory in most indoor locations and plexiglass shields are being erected in venues. Cashless payment solutions are becoming the norm. Casinos still operate on a cash basis. Resorts World is making a big push in this direction.

Sightline Payments will launch cashless gaming solutions at the first major Las Vegas casino opening in a decade.
