The Senate will be able to vote on the bill that legalizes gambling in Brazil. The proposal came from party leaders who met with the president of the Senate Rodrigo Pacheco. Deputies rejected seven highlights that would change the proposition text. Each state may have one casino, with exception of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro. Opposition deputies complained about the exploitation of gambling and betting being exempt from contributions or taxes.

The physical area of the casino must be equal to 20% of that complex's built-up space.
The project proposes to authorize the installation of a tourist casino in tourist hubs. The tourist cities must have a regional identity, appropriate infrastructure and offer of tourist services. A tourist city cannot be located less than 100 km away from any casino integrated into a leisure complex.
There will be three casinos on river vessels with a length between 2,500 km and 3,5 km. The vessels must have at least 50 high-end rooms, restaurants and bars, shopping centers and specific spaces for events and meetings.
The bill allows the exploitation of bingo on a permanent basis only in bingos houses. The minimum area is 1,500 square meters, where up to 400 video bINGO machines can be located. There will be one binger house for every 150,000 inhabitants.

The licensees must present a minimum share capital of R$ 10 million and reserve funds in guarantee for the payment of stipulated obligations and duties. There may be one operator of this activity for every 700 thousand inhabitants of the state or Federal District.
The text provides that the provisional operation of video bingo, bingos and jogo do bocchos will be authorized until the regulation is released.
