Powerball has added another drawing and ticket buyers can watch the live drawing to be one of the first to know if their ticket wins.

Aug. 23 marks the first Monday drawing for the Powerball after it added the extra drawing.

The drawing for the jackpot will be Monday night at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery studios in Tallahassee.

There is no broadcast partner in Massachusetts. Instead, those interested can see the drawn numbers appear on the Powerball website or watch online through the game’s YouTube channel.

The Powerball jackpot grows each drawing until it is won. By adding another drawing, the jackpots may grow larger much faster.

Tickets are $2. The best odds of a prize is matching the Powerball number at 1 in 38.3. Players who just match the Powerball number receive $4. Odds decrease from there, including 1 in 11 million of winning $1 million and 1 in 292.2 million for winning the jackpot.

Massachusetts lottery players should also check older tickets. Millions of dollars are left in unclaimed prizes, some dating back to 2016. Some of those winnings, however, expire this year if not claimed.
