PokerStars is returning to Switzerland after an exclusive distribution deal agreed with an online casino brand.
PokerStars is re-launching operations in Switzerland via Casino777. The online poker brand had to leave the country on July 1, 2019. New law limited online casino licenses to land-based casino operators only. Casino Davos appointed a new chief gaming officer Robert Kocher to oversee the integration of the two companies.
PokerStars offering in Switzerland will be available to online players on a dedicated Swiss homepage. Mobile devices running on Android will have to wait longer. PokerStars' global tournaments will take place on the Casino777 brand. Casino Davos was launched in September 2019. It is supplied with technology from a subsidiary of Ardent Group, Gaming1.
