PHOENIX, AZ —The Singletons, a Phoenix-based nonprofit that helps single parents who are battling cancer, is hosting its casino night fundraiser this weekend.

Casino Royale 2022 will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday at the organization's newly opened H.U.B, located at 2832 E. Bell Rd. in Phoenix.

The evening will feature Vegas-style gaming —with craps, roulette and blackjack —and raffle giveaways along with chef-created cuisine and mixologist-made cocktails. There even will be crepe stations.

All the proceeds will go to providing emotional, financial and household support to single parents battling cancer in the community.

"This event helps us continue to support families with monthly meals and groceries, household supplies, special programming and events," said Jody Boyd, the executive director and founder of The Singletons.

Tickets to the event are available online. The $50 Club Player ticket includes $100 in playing chips and two drink tickets, while the $199 VIP Player ticket package includes $700 playing chips, two drinks and five raffle tickets.

Add-ons include $50 in chips for $20 and $250 in chips for $60.

The organization —formerly called Singleton Moms — began as a tribute to Michelle Singleton, a single mother of four who lost her battle to cancer in 2005.

Recently the organization's new H.U.B. space has been remodeled to include a brand-new kitchen — with donated Sub-Zero appliances — an outdoor patio and an entertainment space.
