FREELAND (WWJ) - While no one scored the record-setting billion dollar Mega Millions jackpot on Friday night, someone in Michigan still won big.

The winning ticket worth $2 million was purchased online in the City of Freeland located in the Saginaw-Midland-Bay metropolitan area, officials with the Michigan Lottery announced.

The numbers drawn Friday night were: 11, 30, 45, 52, 56 and the gold ball 20.

No one was able to match all six numbers to take home the staggering $1.35 billion jackpot, but the $2 million ticket from Michigan -- as well as eight others -- did match the five white balls to win the game’s second-tier prize.

Officials said the Michigan ticket had the optional Megaplier feature of 2x which brought the total prize to $2 million. Most states offer the Megaplier to increase non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times; it costs an additional $1 per play.

There now have been 31 straight drawings without a winner for the first place prize. The last time someone won the Mega Millions jackpot was back on April 18.

The jackpot has now soared to an estimated $1.55 billion with a cash option of $757.2 million for the next drawing Tuesday night. If the estimates are correct, the jackpot would be the largest in the game’s history.

Officials say players have a 1 in 302.6 million odds of matching all the numbers. The odds are better to win smaller prizes, which begin at $2.
