China-based company allegedly raised billions of dollars for DPRK regime’s slush fund despite sanctions restrictions
North Korean IT workers created and sold thousands of illegal gambling websites to South Korean criminals to raise billions of dollars in illicit funds for the Kim Jong Un regime over an unspecified period of time, according to Seoul’s spy agency.
A press release from the National Intelligence Service (NIS) earlier this week states this is the first time ROK authorities have publicly disclosed “concrete evidence” of North Korea's involvement in online gambling in South Korea.
