Officials with Live! Casino Pittsburgh are hosting a hiring event next week as another restaurant prepares to open at the Hempfield facility.

The Monday event will be held in the casino’s recruitment center in Westmoreland Mall. Up to 40 positions are available at PBR Pittsburgh, a country-themed bar and restaurant expected to open on the second floor of the casino. A date has not been announced.

The restaurant will be the 10th in the Professional Bull Riders country bar chain with locations in Philadelphia, Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas and Georgia. The concept includes a restaurant and bar, as well as a mechanical riding bull.

The concept for the restaurant at Live! Casino Pittsburgh was announced in November when the casino officially opened. PBR Pittsburgh will be part of a second wave of openings at the facility, joining Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen + Bar and Sports & Social Steel City.

Available positions at the hiring event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, includes cocktail servers, hosts, bartenders, bussers, barbacks, bull operators, VIP servers, entertainers, line cooks, dishwashers and food servers.

It is the second hiring event taking place at the casino this year. The first, which occurred in April, came as covid-19 restrictions were loosened and restaurants, gyms, casinos and malls could operate at 75% capacity. Capacity limits for restaurants, theaters, indoor and outdoor event spaces will now be lifted on Memorial Day.

Those interested in attending next week’s hiring event can register online. Walk-ins are welcome.
