HARTFORD, CT — One person's trip Wednesday, Nov. 1, into a Hartford convenience store turned out to be a massive, life-changing experience ... and in a good way.

That's because a huge-paying lottery ticket was sold at the Sam's Quick Stop store in Hartford, 15 Asylum St., state lottery officials said.

The jackpot won was enormous, $428,382, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., and the game was the progressive lottery jackpot game "Stacks of Cash Progressive."

It works this way: a jackpot of money is used for the "Stacks of Cash" game and, in this case, it was the full amount won.

The player has multiple options to play "Stacks of Cash," with $2, $5 and $10 games available. A $2 ticket gets the winner 20 percent of the jackpot, $5 gets 50 percent and $10 the full amountof the jackpot.
