How a former addict recovered from a ‘selfish’ 12-year gambling spiral
Will, 33, has been gambling addict for 12 years. He used to borrow money from his mother and take out bank loans to gamble. His relationship with his parents broke down because of it. After contacting the gambling controls service Gamstop, he has made a turnaround. He has written a book about his journey and works as a project coordinator for GaMHive, the charity that helped him. It's called A House in the Countryside: Living Gamble Free and Happy. The book documents his addiction journey. it's also an example of his newfound sense of time. he used the journaling as therapy.
