Full House names new COO, confirms summer opening of temporary casino for Illinois project

Full House Resorts promotes John Ferrucci to the newly-created position of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Ferricci will be tasked with overseeing the company's efforts to open a temporary venue at American Place in Waukegan, Illinois this summer. He will continue to serve as General Manager of Full House Resort’s Silver Slipper Casino Hotel in Hancock County, Mississippi.

Full House announced it has entered into an agreement to purchase 10 acres of land adjoining the approximately 30-acre casino site in Waukegan, Illinois. The Temporary casino is slated to include approximately 1,000 slot machines, 50 table games, a fine-dining restaurant, two additional restaurants and a center bar. It is expected to open between late-March and late April 2022. On March 15, the company will hold a career fair to interview applicants for available jobs at The temporary.

Ferrucci is a graduate of Trenton State College in New Jersey. He worked as casino manager for Lucayan Beach Resort and Casino in the Bahamas and the Grand Casino and Palace Casino Biloxi in Mississippi. In 2000, he became Vice President and General Manager of Casino Magic Bilotchi, the first casino hotel in Mississippi to receive the AAA Four-Diamond Service Award. Four years later, Ferruzzi joined the development team for Full House Resort’s Silver Slipper property.
