LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The debut of Durango Casino & Resort in the southwest valley has been pushed back by about two weeks.

Station Casinos said in a statement Tuesday that the opening is rescheduled from Monday, Nov. 20, to Tuesday, Dec. 5.

"We continue to prepare for the scheduled opening of our Durango Resort, which we have now moved to December 5, to ensure a first-class opening of the property," the company said in a statement.

Employees will still be compensated for salaries and tips during the two-week hiatus.

Hotel guests with reservations will get priority bookings for future dates at Durango or will be able to be rebooked at a sister property.

Guests with restaurant reservations will have to rebook at a sister property or a future date at Durango.
