TERRE HAUTE - One of the four casino operators vying for the open gaming license in Vigo County will this month present its plans to the public. Our partners at WTHI-TV report the presentation from Nevada-based Full House Resorts Inc. (NASDAQ: FLL) will allow residents to ask questions about the $250 million American Place proposal.

Full House, which also operates Rising Star Casino in Ohio County, says American Place will feature 1,000 slot machines, 50 table games, a sportsbook, 100-room hotel, and a greenhouse for dining and entertainment space.

The public presentation will take place October 21 from 7-9 p.m. at the Idle Creek Banquet Center in Terre Haute. The company says it will provide a review of the current proposal and information on vendor and employment opportunities before the Q&A session.

The Indiana Gaming Commission is expected to make a decision next month on which operator will receive the gaming license. The other applicants include Louisville-based Churchill Downs Inc. (Nasdaq: CHDN), Hard Rock International, and a joint venture involving Mississippi-based Premier Gaming Group.

Terre Haute-based Lucy Luck Gaming had previously held the license, but the IGC denied a renewal, which led to the application process for a new operator. Lucy Luck has appealed the commission's ruling, but is still awaiting a decision.
