California's San Manuel Casino to open new gaming space on Saturday

an Manuel Casino will officially debut its new gaming space on Saturday, July 24, as part of a multi-year $760 million expansion

According to a press release, the expansion includes 1,500 new slot machines, increasing its total to 6,500, as well as 40 new tables. The new gaming spaces connect to the existing two floors of the casino.

This is part of the first phase of the casino’s expansion project, which includes a new high limit room, three new bars and retail shops. These new amenities will be open Saturday afternoon. While a 24-hour restaurant called Serrano Vista Café, which is also included in the project, will open in August. 

The second phase consists of a 17-storey hotel with 432 guest rooms and suites, a pool deck and full service spa. It is expected to open in December. 

The public opening of a 3,000-seat entertainment center, which is the third phase of the project, is estimated to have its inauguration in early 2022.

The expansion of the casino was announced in November 2017, after the bingo hall on the second floor was closed in order to repurpose the space for slot machines and restaurants such as Rock & Brews and George Lopez’s Chingon Kitchen. It originally had 2020 as the target year of completion.
