Swimming lessons with the magical mermaids will cost you $175 per child. Mermaid school for families will cost $199 per participant, and mermaid school for adults will cost you about $225 per person, according to the Silverton’s website.
According to the website, more than 20 mermaids have “donned fins at the Silverton.” Many of the mermaids were former University of Nevada Las Vegas synchronized swimmers and Cirque du Soleil performers. Heather Carrasco, a gold medalist in the ’96 USA Olympic Swim Team, was part of the elite group of the Silverton Mermaids as well.
You can also get a mermaid-theme wedding at the Silverton. The casino offers under-water wedding packages that allow couples to get hitched underwater in the aquarium. Brides have the option to be accompanies by mermaids instead of bridesmaids, and wedding packages start at $3,000.
