A listings error in Assassins Creed Mirage had fans thinking that the game would let you gamble with real money.

Out of all the games announced during the recent Ubisoft Forward, the only one that has a release window is the Assassins Creed Mirage.

As you age, it’s more compatible with the original games than modern playing games like Assassins Creed, Valhalla. The popular belief over the fan began to turn into confusion and anxiety when the word spread that the game will feature real gambling.

This is due to the detailed listings on the Xbox store site in order to classified the game in an adultly only rating, as well as a few other games have received.

There were suggestions that the rating was a mistake since it would limit the games availability and make it harder for Ubisoft to sell it.

It turns out that’s exactly the case, as Ubisoft issued a statement saying that non-stop no gambling mechanic and even loot boxes would be permitted.

Assassins Creed Mirage is listed at the Xbox store with an AO 18+ rating currently.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this rating as associated with a major franchise before. Is this a common mistake or a requirement to be able to use real-handling? pic.twitter.com/QqCcx3AcC2?

After the announcement during Ubisoft Forward, some store pages mistakenly displayed the game for pre-orders with an ESRB rating for Adults Only, a spokesperson said.

While Assassins Creed Mirage is still pending, Ubisoft wants to help players that no real gambling or loot box is present in the game.

The Xbox’s listings were updated to remove the Adults Only rating and replace it with the Pending.

Only Adults score is a category which is often reserved for games that have pornographic content or violent violence and that’s considered a kiss of death for video games.

Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are all prohibited from publishing such games on their platforms, and most retailers refuse to stock them. They can be released via Steam, but they’re not advertised as being available.

Assassins Creed Mirage is being launched in 2023 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, Stadia and Amazon Luna.
