GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) - Two months after someone won the 10th largest lottery prize in U.S. history with a ticket purchased in Grand Blanc Township, nobody has stepped forward to claim their riches.

The Michigan Lottery continues waiting for the winner of the $842.4 million Powerball jackpot to contact them.

The Food Castle convenience store at Dort Highway and Grand Blanc Road sold the winning ticket for the New Year's Day drawing. The lucky winner matched all of the numbers: 12-21-42-44-49 and the Powerball: 01.

The prize is the fifth largest Powerball jackpot and 10th largest of any lottery jackpot in U.S. history. It is the second largest lottery jackpot won in Michigan behind only a $1.05 billion Mega Millions prize that went to a lottery club in Oakland County.

The winning $842.4 million ticket is valid for one year. So the lucky winner has 10 months until Dec. 31 to step forward and claim their prize.
