FC Tucson Women improved to 2-0 on the year after holding off El Paso Surf twice to start the regular season of the Desert Conference. El Paso fell to 0-3 on the year after losing to the newly minted Arizona Arsenal Soccer Club 3-0 last Saturday in Mesa after dropping a 1-0 match at the Kino North Stadium the night before.

With 6 points, Tucson leads the conference with Phoenix SC del Sol (1-0) and Mesa (1-0) right behind with 3 points each. Atomic City FC of Las Vegas (0-1) and El Paso have no points and both clubs have been held scoreless.

Tucson will put its lead on the line with a visit to Las Vegas Saturday night in a match scheduled to be played at Green Valley High School in Henderson at 7:30 p.m.. The match will be played on synthetic turf.

SC del Sol will visit Las Vegas on Sunday and Arizona Arsenal will travel to El Paso Saturday night.

Tucson runs a defensive game plan that leads to goals which should come in handy, especially after Las Vegas gave up four goals to SC del Sol on Saturday.

Tucson will visit Mesa to take on Arizona Arsenal on Friday, June 17 and the team will come home to play SC del Sol the following Sunday, June. 19.  TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE
