Top Shows to See in Las Vegas
Wild Casino

Las Vegas is best known for being the world’s casino capital, a reputation that it has cultivated for more than a century. However, it no longer enjoys the monopoly it once had, with other cities and online casinos all taking a slice of the pie for themselves. In fact, competition is so strong among internet-based casinos that most offer attractive bonuses to new customers as a way to build their market share.

So, to keep the punters rolling into the city, Las Vegas has adapted, offering a whole buffet of entertainment, including a myriad of musicals.

While the city doesn’t have the same prestige as New York’s Broadway or London’s West End, you’ll find some of the best theatres in the world putting on some of the greatest shows ever made here.

Like the sound of that? Here are some shows you must see while you’re in Vegas.

Hamilton

Winner of 11 Tony Awards, Hamilton is a hit show that’s one of the biggest hits on Broadway from the last few years.

After making a debut in the Off-Broadway Public Theater in 2015, the musical has been dazzling audiences in the Big Apple ever since.

It’s now on its first national tour and will be stopping in Las Vegas in October and November.

If you’ll be in the city at that time, it’s a must-see.

Bat Out of Hell

Back in 1977, Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman created Bat out of Hell, a musical about a dystopian New York in which a gang of rock ‘n’ roll rebels take on an evil dictator.

It was a huge hit at the time and helped to popularise songs like “Bat Out of Hell” and “Heavy Can Wait”.

Almost five decades on and the show has returned; it will be in Las Vegas for more than six months following successful runs in Canada’s Toronto and England’s London.

Bat Out of Hell will be rocking Vegas from late September 2022 until the end of March 2023.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical

When Moulin Rouge! hit cinemas in 2001, it became an immediate success. And after generating almost $180 million at the box office, it was only a matter of time before there was a stage adaptation.

In fact, it was a Las Vegas casino that first touted the idea of doing so back in 2002. However, it didn’t actually happen until 2018 when the show premiered in Boston before moving to Broadway for 2019.

Las Vegas audiences will be able to enjoy the award-winning production in January when the curtain goes up on Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Smit Center.
