LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The future is bright for Suncoast Hotel and Casino. Boyd Gaming executives announced major renovations on the horizon for the Summerlin venue on Tuesday.

“Over the course of the next two years, we are going to retouch and refresh virtually every area of the Suncoast,” Steve Shutte, executive vice president of operations for Boyd Gaming, said.

The hotel, located off Alta Drive and Rampart Boulevard, opened in 2000 and the new High Limit gaming area and William B’s Steakhouse debuted last year.

Construction is set to start Wednesday on a brand new, stadium-style Sportsbook which will be completed in time for football season around late summer. The next undertaking is a new bingo room for 2025 and a refresh of all meeting space.

The huge renovation includes a complete redoing of the gaming room floor. A new center bar will be installed and feature 70 seats and a modern design.

There will also be a new food hall, as well as a front desk and check-in area.

“The target is our loyal and existing customers here at the Suncoast as well as our entire community in Summerlin and the northwest,” Schutte said. “Making sure we keep our property fresh and updated.”

The project will be done in phases and is expected to wrap up in 2026

Boyd Gaming did not provide a price tag for the project. A representative told 8 News Now, “We are still in the design process of the later stages of the project and haven’t finalized the overall budget at this time.”
