PokerStars must exit Dutch Gambling Market by November 1st. Unlicensed operators that do not comply with the deadline will be fined up to $702,705. If a company's annual turnover exceeds $17.6m, they will get 4% of that amount instead.

Unlicensed operators in the Netherlands will have to leave the market for at least six months before applying for an official gambling license. PokerStars will be forced to stop operating in Netherlands. GGPoker and Party Poker will apply for Dutch licenses straight away. Betsson, Entain, Kindred Group, and 888 Holdings have all applied to enter the Dutch iGaming market. The KSA received 28 provisional license applications in April. Approvals are set to begin on October 1.

The Dutch gaming regulator has already dished out some large fines to illegal gambling operators. Luxury Bingo and BSB Shop were fined up to $77,177. Malta-based subsidiary of gambling giant Tipico was fined $622,494 for illegally targeting Dutch people through its online offering. PokerStars has not received a similar fine for operating in the Dutch market.
