Part of U.S. 95 near downtown Las Vegas set for daylong closure

The U.S. Highway 95 southbound closure will last from 2 a.m. Sunday to 5 a.,m Monday. The work involves removing old crumb-rubber asphalt and preliminary striping for the freeway's new, four-lane configuration. Eastern Avenue offramp from U.,S., 95 will reopen ahead of schedule at 5 am. Thursday.
The freeway is closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a. m. for work on installing new overhead signage. The project is set for substantial completion sometime this summer. The freeway will be closed from 9 p., to 6 a., on Thursday.
