A woman from Washington won a jackpot worth nearly $1 million while playing table games at a Strip casino on Tuesday.

The gambler, while playing Face Up Pai Gow poker, hit a progressive jackpot worth close to $970,000 with a straight flush at the Flamingo. In addition to the jackpot, she won another $5,000 in the form of a fortune bonus.

The woman, who said Tuesday was the first time she had ever played Pai Gow Poker, was in Las Vegas for a family vacation.

She said she plans to invest her winnings into a nail salon business she owns.
