A parking lot at Westmoreland Mall will be transformed into an outdoor rodeo venue this summer as Live! Casino Pittsburgh hosts its first Pro “Bulls & Barrels” Rodeo and Concert.

The event, scheduled for June 4-5, will feature professional bull riding, barrel racing, trick ropers, rodeo clowns and more. It will kick off summer events at the Hempfield facility.

“We are excited to announce our Outdoor Summer Series and to kick things off with our rodeo and concert weekend on June 4-5,” Sean Sullivan, general manger of Live! Casino, said in a news release. “The Summer Series will be a fun time for all ages. Dust off your favorite pair of cowboy boots and join us.”

Rodeo shows will be held between 3 and 6 p.m. on the Saturday and Sunday of the event. A concert will be held Saturday night from 8 to 10 p.m. The performer will be announced at a later date. Food trucks also will be on site in the casino’s parking area near the former Sears space in the mall.

Tickets can be purchased on the casino’s website, pittsburgh.livecasinohotel.com/LiveSummerSeries. General admission is $25 per person or $12.50 for children under the age of 12. VIP tickets cost $50 each.

Several other events will be held at the casino this summer.

On July 16, the casino will host its second Summerfest event. Last year’s event featured craft beer, wine and seltzer vendors, food trucks, musical acts, games and more.

Officials will also host their first Car Cruise, Festival and Fundraiser on Aug. 14. Further details for that event have not yet been released.
