61-year-old Shirley Washington of Little Rock won $390K on Jackpocket, a digital lottery app where you can play official state lottery tickets.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A Little Rock resident won $390K on Jackpocket, a digital lottery app where you can play official state lottery tickets.

61-year-old Shirley Washington matched all five numbers, without the Lucky Ball, on the November 30th Lucky for Life drawing.

She claimed her prize today at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center and chose to take the cash option of $390,000 rather than receiving $25,000 a year for life.

Washington said that she plans to help her mother remodel her house with the new prize money.

She has worked at a local hospital for 42 years and plans to retire next year.

Washington has been playing the lottery on the Jackpocket app since it launched in Arkansas two years ago and ordered her winning ticket only about 15 minutes before sales cut off with a Quick Pick.

“I had been talking to a friend earlier that day and told her I was going to quit playing lottery games because I don’t win,” Washington said. “But I was awakened that night at 10:17. A man was telling me I had won a big jackpot. I said, ‘Don’t play with me!’ He told me he was serious and to go and look at the numbers. When I did, I almost had a heart attack!”

This is the second recent Arkansas resident to win the Lucky for Life lottery prize on the Jackpocket app.
