A mum from Cunnamulla is thanking a last-minute decision for scoring $100,000 in the recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Paroo Shire resident scored the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10502, drawn Monday 8 November 2021.

The winning woman was oblivious to her good fortune and enjoying a nap when an official from The Lott called to reveal the thrilling news.

“You’re joking! You’re joking! Oh my god!” she happily yelled.

“I’m absolutely stunned. Are you real? Is this a scam? I feel sick!

“I was having a nana nap, but I’ll happily wake up to this news!

“I always purchase two numbers into Lucky Lotteries draws but at the spur of the moment I decided to mix things up and add an extra number! I knew the jackpot was climbing.

“As soon as I finish this phone call, I’m going to head to my son’s house and knock his socks off. He won’t believe me.

“This will take care of everything.”

With $100,000 about to hit her bank account, the Queenslander knew exactly what she would do with her prize.

“The money will help in so many ways. I’ve been saving like mad to fix my car,” she shared.

“It will almost pay my mortgage off completely. This is tremendous news.

“I’ll have to start up the barbie tonight and have a glass of bubbly to celebrate!”

Her winning entry of three random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $4.60 million for draw 1550, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $4.14 million for draw 10503.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, 136 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $46.09 million.

During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who scored a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May 2021.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, Australians took home more than 123.7 million prizes worth more than $3.62 billion from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Monday & Wednesday Lotto, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno, Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.
