A Las Vegas casino and resort will pay $720,000 and provide additional relief to settle an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission lawsuit filed after the company allegedly failed to accommodate employees with disabilities, the EEOC announced Thursday.

Since 2018, Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino allegedly engaged in numerous instances of discrimination against employees, including failing to accommodate employees with disabilities and firing an employee with colon cancer because he wore an ostomy bag, the agency said. The casino also allegedly retaliated against employees who requested accommodations by subjecting them to undesirable working conditions, discipline, and termination.
