Kenyan welder wins Sh9m Mozzart jackpot

A Kenyan welder is smiling all the way to the bank after hitting a whopping Sh9.9m jackpot with online betting firm Mozzart Sport on Wednesday.
John Nyokie, 44, from Naivasha in Nakuru county said he skipped paying rent for two good months while placing his bet on Premier League matches.
“It is a league I understand well, sometimes it is really unpredictable but I have experience in it because even in my last big win I had a number of games from Championship in my bet slip,”
“I also bet on the Uefa Champions League qualifiers and did some research on their previous performance. I also placed a bet on Icelandic teams which is a league I like so much because home teams rarely lose,” said Nyoike.
The father of three specialises in window panes, doors and gates at his workshop in Naivasha town. He had previously won Sh98,000 and Sh169,000 with Mozzart Bet.
Nyoike hinted at buying a car with his colossal harvest and using part of his windfall to offset debts.
“I want to buy a car, land and invest into business with the money that I have won. There is some amount that I withdrew to settle my debts. I had not paid rent for two months so the money has come in handy,” noted Nyoike.
