Skip the pools, shopping and restaurants and make a mad dash to Circa Resort & Casino to try its new summertime cocktails. Recently released at two of the hotel’s top spots for cocktails, Legacy Club and Vegas Vickie’s, these seasonal treats will get you in the perfect mood to enjoy a spirited summer day or night.

Beat that heat with a nice indoor reprieve right off the property’s lobby, a cool cocktail haunt known as Vegas Vickie’s. It’s named after the famed neon dame that lit up the Fremont Street Experience for decades before she was taken down, refurbished and brought inside Circa for guests’ enjoyment—and much picture taking. The humongous neon character sits right alongside the bar that introduced cool new tropical cocktail treats like the Cool Rummings. The Jamaican-influenced libation is mixed with Cruzan rum, blue curaçao, banana, coconut, lime and tiki bitters. For more rum fun, try the Unicorn Horn with Mount Gay Eclipse rum, Remy Martin 1738, banana, honey, almond and lime. For a more citrusy sip, try the Star of the Show, made with Tito’s Handmade vodka, Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato, Aperol, starfruit and lime. Fans of lavender flavors will enjoy the Violet Tendencies cocktail, made with Botanist gin, lemon, orgeat and lavender.

We suggest taking your summer evenings to the top of the über-cool lounge known as Legacy Club. At the top of the 60-story property, this space is one of the most amazing in all of downtown, with views so high you’ll see helicopter tours whizzing by. The venue’s décor is something out of a James Bond film, with a palatial balcony dotted with oversize club chairs, circular sofas and fire pits. And the views that stretch from one side of the valley to the other (and optimal views of the Strip) only add to the experience. The Legacy Club cocktail experience is elevated to the level of liquid art, with the flavors to match the talents. Summer-inspired recipes include the Self Made, a blend of Corazon blanco tequila, Ramazzotti amaro, Dolin Vermouth de Chambery Blanc, watermelon, bail, lemon and Fever Tree Sparkling Lemon. Tiki-inspired the Gathering Storm mixes Santa Teresa 1796 rum, Probitas rum, Domaine de Canton, Velvet Falernum, lime, ginger, mint and Angostura bitters. For more tiki inspiration, try the Green Felt Jungle, a vibrant mix of coconut washed Toki Japanese whiskey, Pierre Ferrand Dry curaçao, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, lemon, cucumber and orgeat. And in honor of owner Derek Stevens and his hometown of Detroit, the DRC mixes Absolut Elyx vodka, Hendricks Lunar gin, Strega, vanilla, lavender and orange.
