A week after the draw, a Dandenong father has been left stunned by the revelation he’s the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prize winner lottery officials had been searching for.

The Victorian player won the 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1536, drawn Thursday 17 June 2021.

Speaking with an official from The Lott yesterday morning, the overjoyed man revealed he’d been completely oblivious of his windfall until he checked his ticket while out running errands.

“Wow! I’m very happy,” he exclaimed.

“I’ve been playing all my life, at least for 43 years!

“I’m excited to have a win. I can’t wait to tell my family.

“I had a few tickets from previous draws and decided to go into the outlet and finally check them.

“Turns out one of them was a big win, thank you!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the cheerful winner admitted was too startled to make any concrete plans.

“I’ll definitely celebrate, but I’m not too sure how,” he said.

“I have to tell my family; they will be very excited.

“I hope to share the news with my wife and my kids tonight.

“This is great!”

The winning entry was purchased at Palm Plaza Lotto, 49 McCrea Street, Dandenong.

Palm Plaza Lotto owner Sineth Sar said she was beyond happy for the winner, and glad they’d discovered their prize.

“We were wondering who the winner was this whole time, and it was a regular customer!” she said.

“Thankfully, he came in and checked his ticket at our outlet this morning. He had no idea what was going on.

“We honestly couldn’t be happier for him, and we’re pleased to see it go to a regular customer.

“He is very deserving of the win, and I hope he can spoil himself and his family with the prize.

“A big congratulations to him! We’re hoping for many more wins to come.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.48 million$1.48 million for draw 15371537, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $6.74 million$6.74 million for draw 1047410474.

In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $48.61 million.
