Las Vegas (KSNV) — Casino workers from nearly a dozen independent casino properties are preparing to have an informational picket line on Friday.

The Culinary Union 226 is still in negotiations with 19 casinos, impacting around 7,000 workers.

An all-out strike was adverted last year after the union reached historic deals with Cesar's, MGM, and Wynn.

The union has garnered support from the Biden-Harris administration along with US Representative who made a surprise visit and met with union leaders earlier this week.

The strike deadline is , days before Las Vegas hosts Super Bowl 58.

The picket line is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
