(WJAR) — An NBC 10 viewer reached out to Ask Alison about non-smoking areas at Bally's Twin River Casino.

The viewer called Alison and left a voicemail saying: "HI Alison. I'm just wondering if anything can be done of a lack of non-smoking or smoking areas in twin river. And all the people that work there are very, very concerned. Is there anything going to be done about this at all? I'd love to know."

Alison Bologna reached out a spokesperson for the casino who tells her the second floor of Bally's Twin River Lincoln Casino remains non-smoking and offers table games, slot machines, poker, the sportsbook and dining establishments.

It's accessible by two non-smoking entrances, the spokesperson said.

The new first floor addition is a smoking area that has a state-of-the-art ventilation system, the casino claims.

Smoking at table games is no longer permitted. It is allowed in designated areas of the casino floor only.

State Rep. Teresa Tanzi, with union workers, has tried to ban smoking in Rhode Island casinos before.

According to , casinos in Massachusetts and Connecticut ban smoking indoors.
