Allen Glick was a front man for organized crime. He owned four Las Vegas casinos. His company was funded by Teamsters Union pension fund. He knew the son of mob boss Frank Balistrieri.

Allen Glick was a mob boss in the 1970s. He was the second most powerful executive in his empire. His business partner was Frank 'Lefty' Rosenthal, who was portrayed in 1995 movie 'Casino'. Rosenthal was not directly involved in organized crime, but in a documentary 'Mob on the Run' it was revealed that he was working for the Chicago mob. The Argent casinos were skimmed for millions of dollars. Glik was later a government witness and helped convict the heads of the midwestern mob, although he never was charged for being a mafia boss.

Allen R. Glick died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by wife Kathleen, sons Todd and Cary, and grandsons Aaron and Adam Glik. Allen was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 11th, 1942. He attended The Kiski School, earned his BA at Ohio State University, his JD from Case-Western Reserve School of Law, he was a Captain in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star, three Combat Air Medals and the Vietnamese Medal of Honor. In 1974, Allen acquired Recrion Corporation, which later became Argent Corporation. As Chairman and President of Argent, he owned and operated Stardust Hotel and Casino, Fremont Hotel, Casino and Marina Casino.
