Most of the gaming options at Southern California’s tribal-owned casinos that had been shuttered by the coronavirus pandemic are now back up and running, with one major exception: bingo.

While some of the region’s bingo halls are welcoming people and daubers, others have remained closed. And at least for one closed bingo spot, there’s an upgrade on the way.

Here’s the status of each:

Casino Morongo

Adjacent to Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa. 49500 Seminole Drive, Cabazon. 951-849-3080, morongocasinoresort.com.

Status:

The bingo hall was located in the smaller Casino Morongo building on the property and the room was filled with 100 slot machines and eight blackjack tables in July 2020. However, a casino spokesman said a new bingo room is in the works for Casino Morongo and will be unveiled in the coming months.

According to the casino’s website, there are cleanings before and after each bingo session. Players must be at least 21 and face coverings are mandatory.

There are daily matinee sessions Monday-Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. The main session runs at 6:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Pechanga Resort Casino
