Most game developers believe web3 gaming is the future of the industry. However, 32% think web 3 games are a fad and 31% consider them a scam. Coda Labs and Raptor PR conducted the international survey. The survey was based on the CODA Labs Global Web3 Gamer Study.

60% of developers believe that Web3 technology will revolutionise the gaming industry. 40% anticipate improved user acquisition, 36% expect improvements in user retention and 75% expects web3 games to feature NFTs or tokens. Less than a quarter of web 3 developers have launched one yet. In 2022, at least $7.8 billion has been invested into web-3 projects. Animoca Brands has recently announced a new $2 billion fund dedicated to metaverse startups.
