Venezuela has approved the use of digital currencies for gambling. Ciudad Jardin casino resort is accepting Bitcoin and Tether. The resort on Isla Margarita island in Nueva Esparta is one of the newest arrivals on the newly-regulated gambling markets under President Maduro.
Maduro wants to open more casinos in places such as Caracas, Miranda, Nueva Esparta, Aragua, Lara, Zulia and others. Venezuela's finances are in a dire strait. The government has begun cutting out subsidies to various parts of the economy.
