AN Irish EuroMillions winner is running out of time to claim their prize worth €22,833.

The Carlow ticketholder has just eight days left to bag their thousands after scooping the prize in the draw on Friday April 15.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Wednesday April 13 at Hickson’s SuperValu on Bridge Street in Tullow, Co Carlow.

And the lucky digits on the ticket are: 06, 24, 30, 32 and 48 with lucky stars 05 and 06.

A National Lottery spokesperson has appealed to EuroMillions players in the Tullow area to check their tickets urgently - as players on have 90 days from the draw to claim their prize.

The spokesperson said: "As we get closer to the claim deadline for the outstanding EuroMillions Match 5 prize, we are urging all of our players who may have purchased their tickets in the Tullow area of Carlow for the April 15 draw to check their tickets as soon as possible.

"There is a Carlow player who is yet to come forward to claim their €22,833 prize.

"With the last date to claim fast approaching on Thursday July 14, we are advising the ticket holder to contact our prize claims team immediately on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize."

Meanwhile, there was huge excitement in the National Lottery’s winner's room today as two separate winners from Mayo and Kildare picked up a combined €1million in prizes which they won in EuroMillions and scratchcard games.

The Mayo winner scooped the €500,000 top prize in the EuroMillions draw on Tuesday June 21 after purchasing their winning quick-pick ticket at the Maxol Service Station on the Newport Road, in Westport, Co Mayo.

The winner, who wishes to keep their win private, spoke of their shock when they realised they won the half million-euro prize and said: "I’m completely gobsmacked - it’s only really starting to sink in now!

"It’s not a life-altering sum of money but it’s an ideal amount for me to make some nice changes to my life.

"First and foremost, I’m looking forward to paying off the rest of my mortgage and helping some family members out. It’s a lovely sum to win, but I'm going to keep working and keep life going as normal as possible.

"I might start looking into a last-minute holiday to celebrate the win in style and soak up some sun too."

Also claiming a substantial prize from Lottery HQ was a Kildare player who won the top prize of €500,000 on a €20 All Cash Extravaganza scratch card.

The winner purchased their scratch card at Steve’s Daybreak on the Main Street, Newbridge, Co Kildare.

Spending plans have already been made and the winner is looking forward to sharing her new-found fortune with her family once the dust settles on their win.

Meanwhile, excitement is building across Ireland as lotto fever sweeps the country ahead of Friday's Euromillions jackpot.

The huge prize is set to roll towards an estimated €230million.

A North County Dublin family syndicate currently hold the record for winning the highest EuroMillions jackpot in Ireland after scoring a whopping €175.4 million in February 2019.

Tickets can be purchased ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time on Friday for sales in-store, through the National Lottery app or online.
