TEMECULA, CA — A Temecula mother of six decided to drop some cash into a progressive slot machine at Pechanga Resort Casino and came out over $112,000 richer.
Nineveh Cannavino played the $0.50 Happy Lantern Lightning Link slot machine by Aristocrat Gaming on a recent Sunday evening for about an hour before she struck it rich, according to Pechanga Resort Casino spokesperson Ciara Green.
"She said she felt a premonition like something was about to happen," Green wrote in a recent news release. "The spotlight shined on that feeling as the lucky lantern grand progressive flashed across the screen on her next spin."
Fifteen lanterns lined up and illuminated, meaning she won the progressive and would take home $112,101.73.
"Now, she has more than one hundred thousand additional points of light to look to following a major jackpot win at Pechanga Resort Casino," Green said.
Cannavino told Pechanga staff that her first thought after winning was wishing her father was with her to share in the celebration. She plans on splitting some of the money among her six children.
