Station Casinos Provided Three Square Food Bank With A $100,000 Check

Las Vegas, NV (Sept. 27, 2022) – Leaders from Station Casinos provided Three Square Food Bank with a $100,000 check to close out September’s Hunger Action Month. The check presentation concludes a series of team member led volunteer events throughout the month. Station Casinos’ donation to Three Square is earmarked for the organization’s “BackPack for Kids” program, which ensures low-income students receive healthy food during the weekend or long breaks from school.
The event took place today while team members volunteered filling the “backpacks for kids” and it culminated with a check presentation from Station Casinos Chief Operating Officer Bob Finch that was accepted by Kate Hibbard Gaines, Director of Development with Three Square Food Bank.
“We are proud to partner with Three Square food bank and support their continuous efforts to feed the Las Vegas community,” said Bob Finch, Chief Operating Officer of Station Casinos. “Our properties did an amazing job at volunteering and we know the donation will have a meaningful impact in the community.”
Started in 2008, "BackPack for Kids" ensures that low-income students who receive free or reduced-price school meals through CCSD continue to receive healthy food during the weekend or long breaks from school. "BackPack for Kids" provides bags of nutritious, single-serving and ready-to-eat food items to food-insecure children. Each backpack is approximately five pounds and consists of a variety of shelf-stable items that could include juice, milk, fruit cups, cereal bars, crackers, pudding, cereal and entrees.
