Slotegrator points out potential of African online gaming market. Economic growth and mobile internet have transformed African markets into investment options for the online gambling world.

In Zambia, Uganda and Kenya, licensing is offered for land-based casinos and online operators. In Kenya a license costs €2800, while casino operators must pay €32,800 for licensing. Foreign-owned facilities have a higher fee to pay with €60,000 in capital expected.

There are other areas where operators can offer services and apply for licensing in Africa. In Nigeria, the National Lottery Regulatory Commission and the Lagos State Lotteries Board provide licensing to operators. For sports betting operators in South Africa, application fee and yearly fee is the same, a low €750. Operators in Tanzania must invest $300,000 for local companies and $500,00 for foreign-based or owned operators to be allowed to offer online casino and sports bets.
