Sky River Casino in Elk Grove opened weeks ahead of schedule.

Sky River Casino is built on 36 acres of land. It has 2,000 slot machines, 80 table games, a 12-table poker room, and a high-limit gaming area. The casino has 17 restaurants and bars, including a steak house, Chinese restaurant, food court, tap room with local beers, 12 stories hotel with 300 suites and guest rooms, spa and fitness area, ballroom and conference venue, retail stores, pool area and movie theater.

Sky River Casino in Elk Grove is the first Tribal casino in Sacramento County. It is owned by the Wilton Rancheria Tribe whose members are descendants of the Plains and Sierra Miwok. The tribe lost federal recognition in 1958 but regained it in 2009.
