Sightline Taps J.P. Morgan as Play+ Processor

Sightline Payments named J.P. Morgan Payments as the main merchant acquirer and payments processor for Sightline’s Play+ ecosystem, according to a Thursday (March 24) company press release.
Play+ allows consumers to engage in sports betting, lottery, racing and online and brick-and-mortar casino purchases in more than 40 states. Sightline will work with J.P. Morgan Payments on new payments products and services for casino operators and consumers.

Morgan Payments will help us solve some of the biggest payments challenges our industry faces and provide real solutions to the millions of consumers who enjoy the modern, omnichannel gaming experience.”
Play+ transactions will be routed through J.P. Morgan Payments, giving consumers faster cashouts.
Play+ has helped consumers interact with gaming operators since 2012 and boasts more than 1.5 million accountholders across the U.S., including cashless gaming offerings at casinos in Nevada, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania that allow visitors to use their Play+ accounts to fund their activities on and off the casino floor without cash.

In October, Sightline Payments began working with Mastercard on the Play+ Mastercard, allowing players to use it for casino games and other activities. Sightline rolled out the first Play+ Mastercard with Resorts World Las Vegas, allowing cardholders to pay for non-gaming activities, sports betting, online gaming and casino wagering at the casinos by syncing the card with their smartphones.
The partnership gives Resorts World visitors access to games and other entertainment — including slot play, table games, sports betting, restaurants and retail — without cash and the ability to set spending and time limits, track spending and receive monthly statements about their activity.
