Gila River Hotels & Casinos is going through a transition. It will host a celebration weekend at Wild Horse Pass this month to celebrate the $180-million expansion of the Wildhorse Pass and the opening of Sunrise Tower.

Gila River Indian Community broke ground on a new casino south of Chandler, Arizona. Santan Mountain will be the Community’s fourth casino and is expected to create over 650 new jobs on the 160-acre site. The Steelman Partners-designed site is supposed to open within 1.5 to 2 years. It will have nearly 1,000 slot machines and traditional casino table games. Arizona Sports Betting Partnership that includes the local NFL team, the Cardinals, is also expected. The firm”s client list includes Genting Group, MGM Resorts International, Las Vegas Sands, Galaxy Entertainment (Macau) Wynn, Harrah s, Swiss Casinos, Hard Rock, Melco (Australia and Macao) Caesars, Stations, and innumerable other top properties across the globe.

Gila River Hotels & Casinos has begun construction on its fourth casino in Arizona. Santan Mountain will be the Native American community's fourth gaming venue. It will feature more than 850 slots and table games, a high-limit gaming salon and a BetMGM Sportsbook. The project will create an estimated 650 jobs.  The main casino will have blooming saguaro carpeting, natural light from circular skylights, custom bubble glass and colors inspired by the rising and setting sun.

Gila River Hotels & Casinos broke ground on its fourth casino, Santan Mountain, on Monday, Oct. 18. It will be built on Gila river Indian Community land south of Chandler on Gilbert Road and Hunt Highway. The construction is expected to take between 18 and 24 months. Santa Mountain will include more than 850 slots and table games, a sportsbook, dining options and a bar. It is estimated to create 650 new jobs. There will also be road and other infrastructure improvements in the surrounding area.

The project is expected to create 650 new jobs and cost $150 million. The architect behind the project has designed casinos in Las Vegas and across the world. Gila river Hotel & Casino CEO Kenneth Manuel praised the design concepts. He also praised Steelman Partners for their innovative design. Wild Horse Pass will also be expanded later this year. There will 205 new guest rooms, meeting space, two pools and a rooftop restaurant and lounge.
