Rush Street Gaming’s Portsmouth development has unveiled a range of new restaurants and amenities, although the casino isn’t slated to open until next year.

Local officials, workforce development partners and members of the business community gathered for the announcement held at the casino’s temporary offices in Downtown Portsmouth, a city in southwest Virginia.

The High Street location, said Rivers Casino Portsmouth, functions as a base for human resources and marketing teams while the property is under construction.

There, attendees were given an early look at what the finished casino will have to offer. This includes several food and beverage options, such as Admiral’s Steak & Seafood.

Guests can find steakhouses at every Rush Street Gaming casino, so the inclusion of Admiral’s should come as little surprise. However, this restaurant in particular will be exclusive to Portsmouth.

Other food and drink options include a Starbucks, Slice Pizzeria, Crossings Café and Rush Street Gaming’s signature Asian-inspired Mian restaurant. The property will also feature a BetRivers Sportsbook, with live ticket windows as well as self-service kiosks.

“From day one, we have been committed to developing a high-quality, state-of-the-art gaming and entertainment complex, and through this impressive line-up of restaurants and amenities we continue to deliver on that promise,” said Roy Corby, General Manager of Rivers Casino Portsmouth.

The property estimates that it will create approximately 1,300 new permanent jobs. To this end, Rivers Casino will host a job fair on Saturday 20 August at the Portsmouth Sportsplex.

Available opportunities cover all departments, including IT, security, human resources, marketing, hospitality, slot technicians and table games.
