One lucky Australian could win the second biggest prize in the nation’s history next week after Powerball rocketed to a whopping $120 million jackpot.

It comes after no players held a division one winning entry in Thursday night’s draw, prompting the prize to surge for the sixth week in a row.

The winning numbers for Powerball draw 1344 were 24, 7, 34, 22, 13, 30, 6. The Powerball number was 10.

While no player scored this week’s major jackpot, more than $47.6 million was won by more than two million other entries.

This included 18 division two winners who each took home a cool $73,329.70.

Next Thursday’s $120 million jackpot is the largest Powerball prize the game has offered for more than two and a half years.

If one player walks away with it all next week, they’ll become the biggest individual lottery prize winner in Australian history.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he expects there to be huge demand for tickets.

“In September 2019, the game soared to a historic $150 million and we haven’t seen it climb past $80 million since… until now,” he said.

“With such a massive offer on the table, we’re expecting people right around the country to be dreaming about exactly how they’d transform their lives if they won that prize.

“And as a result, it’s going to be busy both online and in-store leading up to the draw, so make sure you get your hands on a ticket early.

Tickets can be purchased in store and online, with entries closing at 7.30PM AEST Thursday 24 February 2022.
