The layout of the new casino:

The new casino will be located at 1850 West Street, just off Highway 65, next to the Porterville Fairgrounds.

In addition, it will be much larger than before, doubling in size, with more than 100,000 square feet. It will feature 1,750 of the latest slot machines, another 20 table games and a state-of-the-art 2,000 seat event center, according to a release from Eagle Mountain.

In addition to the above, it will include: the 24-hour Acorn Diner, Cedar Food Court, Yokuts Coffee House and River Steakhouse restaurant.

Its Redwood Taphouse will include 208 seats with 24 slot machines at the bar and 66 TVs visible throughout the entire restaurant.

Speaking about the hiring, Eagle Mountain Casino officials stated: “Over 1,000 team members will be working at the new location.”

Commenting on the opening of the casino at the new location, Matthew Mingrone, General Manager of Eagle Mountain Casino, stated: “Congratulations to the Tule River Tribe and the Eagle Mountain Casino team for opening our new property. We’re happy to say that the new property is Tule River through and through, as there are artifacts and basket weaves throughout the property. This is truly Eagle Mountain Casino and the Tule River Tribe’s accomplishment. We’re happy to be able to tell you we are open for business, and we can’t wait to see the smiles on your faces.”

Serving alcohol for the first time:

On May 9, when the casino officially opens, it will be the first time the new location will offer alcohol to patrons 21 and older.

In this regard, Bradford Hamilton, Food and Beverage Director at Eagle Mountain Casino, stated: “We will have full cocktail service throughout the casino floor.”

150th anniversary celebration:

Officially established in 1996, the casino celebrated its 150th anniversary of sovereignty last January.

On that note, Neil Peyron, Chairman of the Tule River Tribe, stated: “On behalf of the Tule River Tribe, I want to congratulate the Eagle Mountain Casino team for their dedication and hard work. They are the backbone of our success. We are grateful for them and all our patrons that would drive the road to the reservation to go there and enjoy some of the best entertainment in our area.”

However, the casino is currently temporarily closed. The reason for this is the recent storms and damage to the road on the Tule River Reservation.
