O‘Chiese Gaming Limited Partnership has applied to the city for a demolition permit for Longriders Saloon and the adjacent Bellinis Sonic Lounge.

Pennsylvania fines Live! Casino Philadelphia for failure to secure restricted areas. A thief spent several hours wandering around the Live!, Casino and Hotel Philadelphia in May 2021. The state casino regulator approved a consent agreement in which the casino agreed to pay a $10,000 fine, plus $2,500 in costs. It was the first enforcement action taken against the South Philadelphia casino since it began operations in January 2021 and it took some remediation measures after the incident. Three patrons managed to get into restricted parts of the Casino in February 2022 and were evicted from the property for 24 hours.

The American Nonsmokers' Rights Foundation has compiled a list of U.S. gaming properties where smoking is banned. California has 108 such properties, Wyoming has three, and Montana has 198.

Groundbreaking ceremony took place on Tuesday for the Queen of Terre Haute Casino Resort. The venue should be up and running in 18 months. It will offer 500 jobs during construction. As many as 1,000 people will work on the venue. Churchill Downs Inc. plans to spend $260 million to create a casino with 1.000 slots and 50 table games. There will also be a 10-story luxury hotel and five restaurants and bars.

Queen of Terre Haute Casino Resort breaks ground. The facility will be a 125-room luxury 10-story hotel with a roof top pool/bar/lounge, a sportsbook and five restaurants and bars. It will take 18 months to build and is expected to be open in late 2023. Hiring for the casino will start by the end of the year. The company will invest $260 million into the facility. There will also be 500 jobs. They will use diverse businesses in construction. Their priorities are worksite safety, using diverse business, keeping the project on schedule and quality of work.

The qualifications for receiving a license include the businesses’ ability and record of sustaining event wagering operations, their track record, good standing in other licenses and permits, commitment to make local investments in the community, an investment in player protection, the ability to begin event betting operations within six months, financial stability and demonstrated regulatory compliance.

July 2021 revenue from all forms of gaming regulated by the Board was $423,657,956. Table games achieved a record for revenue and slot machines placed 4th all time for a month.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reports that the total revenue in June 2021 was $388,892,795. The Board is providing a comparison of this year's revenue against that of June 2019 when Covid-19 restrictions were not in place and casinos operated for the entirety of the month. The chart compiles all revenue generated in 2021 by casinos, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals operated by other vendors.

Monthly Pennsylvania Gaming Revenue Tops $400 million for second straight month. The combined total revenue in April 2021 generated from all forms of gaming regulated by the Board was $404,105,692. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all casinos were closed during the entirety of April 2020, so no revenue was generated by slot machines, table games or retail sportsbooks. Video Gaming Terminals were also not in operation last April.
