New Las Vegas Strip Hotel 'Dream Las Vegas' In The Works

The Clark County Commission passed the plans for Dream Las Vegas in a 6-1 vote on Wednesday, October 6. The new building will be constructed on top of a five-acre plot of land on the south edge of Las Las Vegas Boulevard next to the airport and the Harley-Davidson dealership.
David Daneshforooz and Bill Shopoff are planning a 500 million dollar boutique hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Construction will begin mid-2022 and the first guests will arrive in 2024. The hotel will offer boutique stays for visitors who don't want to spend their entire vacations in hotel-casinos.
The FBI, Homeland Security and Secret Service have concerns about the Dream Las Vegas project. The TSA also has concerns. Major airlines also have questions. The resort would increase the risk to both the aircraft and the passengers. It would also be more susceptible to VBIED attacks.
The porte-cochere will be moved further away from the airport property line and the hotel will have a nine-foot-tall, double-reinforced security wall. The parking garage will now be enclosed and another security fence will also be added onto the proposed pool deck. All rooms with balconies have been scrapped and all rooms have to have glass-break detectors to alert security teams to anyone trying to compromise the windows.
