A MYSTERY Scot has scooped a life-changing EuroMillions jackpot with a Lucky Dip.

The lucky Scot, known only as Mr F, bagged £293,569.20 after matching the five main numbers and one Lucky Star in the EuroMillions draw on Friday, March 4.

And he plans on paying off his mortgage with the massive winnings.

The Edinburgh local, who played a Lucky Dip via the National Lottery app, has become one of over eight million players that win each week on The National Lottery’s range of games.

Interactive winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous or like this winner, release some details through partial publicity.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, congratulated him today.

He said: “What brilliant news for Mr. F for winning this fantastic prize!

"He can look forward to living mortgage free.”

The National Lottery is encouraging everyone to check their tickets online at national-lottery.co.uk or by downloading the National Lottery app, and to buy or check their tickets in retail in line with government guidance.

Playing online via the website or app means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize.

You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.

By playing any National Lottery game, punters generate an average of £30M each week for National Lottery-funded projects.

This money helps support everything from the local charity making a difference where you live through to helping our nation’s athletes win Olympic and Paralympic gold medals.

To date, over £45 billion has been raised and distributed to National Lottery Good Causes through more than 660,000 individual grants.

Recently we told how lotto winner Jane Park has got lucky again - after scooping £1,400 from just a fiver bet on the horses.

Jane - who won £1million on the Euromillions aged just 17 - landed a treble at the Cheltenham festival at combined odds of 281/1.
