Michigan Casinos Reinstate Mask Mandate. Will More Follow Little River?

Little River Casino in Manistee and Gun Lake Casino, in Wayland, Michigan, have brought the mask mandate back for all guests. Detroit casinos reported July as their best revenue month since the coronavirus pandemic forced them to close in March 2020.

Little River Casino requires proper masks for all guests, team members and vendors. The mandate went into effect at 8 a.m. on Friday. Exceptions are made for eating and drinking on property, smoking in a designated area or in your own hotel room. Gaiters, bandanas and masks with an exhalation port are prohibited.

Little River Casino posted a message on Facebook about not wearing masks. The reaction was mixed.

Gun Lake Casino near Grand Rapids required masks starting Thursday morning. The update to the procedure states that masks must cover the nose and mouth area completely.
